Chuseok




Chuseok is the best holiday I ever had. Chuseok is a biggest national holiday in South Korea. Chuseok is August 15 on the lunar calendar. Chuseok is similar a Thanksgiving Day. People were giving thanks for the harvest. So, Chuseok is meaningful day.
 
The kind of chuseok food is extremely various. People made a lots of food when Chuseok. First, people made a garbi. Garbi is a steamed rib. Second, people prepare a variety of panfried dish. For example, panfry filleted fish, mushroom pancake, etc. Last, people made a Songpyeon. Songpyeon is the most famous Chuseok food. It is the special food that Koreans eat when Chuseok.
 
South korea have a customs of Chuseok. During Chuseok, South Koreans spend many times with their relatives. Chuseok is a time for families gets together. Many Korean visits to their ancestral at the Chuseok. And they perform an ancestral sacrifice, In the Korea, Confucian traditions continue to this day.
